Packing an instrument properly can help avoid much damage typically endured by packages

We like to make sure the customer is covered regardless
We like to cork closed some usual problem areas
Not too tight, but firm enough that they won't shake loose
It can be difficult to find all the corks we put in
The corks must be installed & removed with care
It may seem like a little thing
Those little repairs can add up though
Last few corks I hid by the low B & Bb keys

You want the extra cushion to compress a little to conform to the instrument, but not so much that it puts too much stress or pressure on any point
I've been taping latches & handles for a while out of habit
We keep a lot of boxes so that we have a good selection to choose from
I'll wrap the case separate if I can, as an added safety measure
